This is Open House Weekend at Cal Poly! Come check out our campus, the Open House parade, and scores of student and departmental booths highlighting the work of students, staff and faculty! SARC will have a booth at the ‘Ag Pavilion’ on the corner of Highland Dr. and Via Carta tomorrow. The Organic Farm will be holding tours. Details can be found at:

Community Earth Day Events are set for Saturday April 18, in particular, the Central Coast Vineyard Team’s annual Earth Day Wine and Food Festival in Santa Margarita:

SUSTAINABLE AG LECTURE SERIES: On May 28, we will be kicking off the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences’ quarterly ‘Sustainable Agriculture Lecture Series’ with a talk by Central Coast Vineyard Team Executive Director Kris O’Connor on ‘Certifying Sustainability in Vineyards.’ This will include an overview of the Vineyard Team’s new Sustainability in Practice (SiP) program. MICHAEL POLLAN: We are very pleased to announce that award-winning author Michael Pollan will be this year’s special guest at our annual fundraiser event.
